Is there political issues affecting ecommerce in your country? meaning do you believe that government regulations restrict online retailers to increase their revenues even more, or is the government policies making problems for online retailers? etc please tell us about it.
My relationship with the Amazon Associates program was terminated when the Democrats in the Colorado legislature passed a bill aimed at collecting sales tax revenue from Amazon. Amazon responded by getting rid of all Colorado-based associates. I don't even live in Colorado anymore, but my corporation is still there. The profit from Colorado-based affiliates just wasn't worth the cost of compliance to Amazon. The Colorado government got greedy and accidentally killed the goose that laid the golden eggs. Instead of gaining sales tax revenue, they lost income tax revenue. Governments are promising more to people in return for their votes. This means that those same government must raise revenue to pay for all those "gifts". Online retailers are a big target right now. I suspect that taxes on online transactions will increase and that, as a result, eCommerce will suffer.
