Policy on sales thread commenting?

Is it ok for members to post comments in sales threads, such as:

"That site isn't even worth $1, let alone the $100 you're asking for it."

    "Too pricey for me."

    Etc. ???

I understand most people think they are doing other members a favor by pointing out things like PR that will probably vanish, potential scams, and so on. But I think it is extremely unprofessional to be filling up other people's sales threads with comments on prices. If it's a legitimate question, like "I don't feel the site is worth that much, would you accept $xxx instead?" I can see where that might be ok. But it seems a lot of people just look through the sales threads to play forum cop.

Comments like that are frequently to bump the thread which puts other members at a disadvantage. Another classic is the "great site, great price, wish I had the money right now".

Please report problem posts with [IMG].

I have had an issue with this recently and lost the sale of a site because of it. I was pissed off. I just whack em a bit of red and send them a witty but scathing PM.

They really are nosey little buggers. Sure, if someone is about to get scammed, pm the person or leave a post. But not just because you think the price is too high.

Gotta love those thread hijackers. :) Isnt it annoying? God I would love to be able to tear a strip out of those jerks who do it. I mean if they arent interested in what your selling, its so much easier to just click the back button and NOT type anything into the little box. LOL Its annoying, and I am glad that the mods dont allow it.
