Just curious who has a poker site with adsence?

Whenever I ask google if my site is in violation of the TOS they say no.

Its poker related but just poker articles and tutorials.

I am soon wanting to advertise the site but I dont want to later find out the google reps have been lying to me.

Is poker content ok? as long as its just content and the site does not link to a gambling site?

Hmm. Why do you ask if you have an email from Google saying that it is fine to have adsense on the site. Do you believe that DP members know the adsense TOS better than Google ? :) If Google says its fine, its fine.

its just ive read that the google people have ok'd some things and then later on the person gets in trouble for that error that was approved by the google team.

In other words one google rep ok'ed it and another did not.

Ok, I see. I just got the impression that you asked Google several times already. I asked them for this a year ago and they told me not to put adsense on any gambling related page. This reminds me of that I will try again, with tutorials and so on.

Keep tight ahold of that email confirming it is okay Chris - the AdSense Googler's are a fickle bunch and one opinion might not match the other. As far I'm aware the TOS are quite clear that gambling related sites are prohibited - a different member of the team may object to your placement so keep that email as evidence.

Yeah, I just tried getting Adsense on my Poker site, has tutorials and other information, I do have links to Poker gaming sites also though.

The information I received was that they consider Poker gambling and that they wouldn't allow me to use Adsense.

My site - PokerDIY.com has Google Ads on - I had to request them to have a look at it though because they denied it at first...

It's a service to find live poker games and players though - not just another affiliate site with copied content in a template - I think they are cracking down on these types of sites...
