I know you can't advertise gambling sites on google adwords but are you allowed to run adsense on poker information related sites?
I don't think so. I thnk that's still considered a gambling site. I have seen some poker sites with adsense code on them, butI don't know if they eventually get banned or not. Unless someone on here knows for sure, I'd say contact Google.

Poker I believe is considered more a game of skill then luck therefore I'm not sure it would be considered gambling per se. Which is why I asked.
