Poker sites offer 'Freerolls' which are tournaments you can play to win real $$ without having to buy into the tournament.

These freerolls can vary from a small payout right up to a huge payout or a token into a bigger tournament.

If say you wanted to goto the biggest poker tournament of the year which would be the WSOP if a site ran freerolls for a seat in this, you'd probably have to win 3 tournaments before you could get anywere near a shot as the buying and package would be worth around $12,000

We are about to run a $250 freeroll at our site if you would like to play this id be more than happy to have you aboard?! however this tournament is not open to US players.

If your interested in playing for this $250 at no risk to yourself either sign up to our forum Fuzion Poker Forum or get in touch with me via pm here.

    Jord :)

I entered a few freerolls the other week, I came 45th in one of them and won 50 cents, I built that up over the next 5 days to $80, then lost the lot in a couple of hours LMAO!!!

It's a great game but such a game of luck it's unreal.

I am down to 4 cents now, time for another freeroll when I can be bothered to try. :D

As JoRd said it costs nothing to join sites and most have at least 6 or 7 freerolls every day, it is very long and tedious work to get in the money (typically around 3 hours minimum) in freerolls but it can be good fun. :)

My best finish is 16th out of 1,000 in a freerole, I won 55 cents!

Its pretty easy to build a bankroll from a small deposit at the low limit stakes.

Ive done this 2-3 times from an inital $30 deposit or so.

It only took me a month and a half to get a $50 deposit up to $9,000 just playing small limit tournaments (sit and go's)

And im currently looking to do it again although im not playing it as much as i was the first time i tried it.

You can follow my progress in this thread at my forum

Its not impossible, and id gladly help any of you guys out. I could give you one on one tutoring giving advice as you play!

I've only played with play money but it seems I win more than I lose because my balance is more than when I started. I imagine the people playing for actual money are alot better than those just playing for free though, am I right?

I think I might pump a couple bucks in and see what happens. might even check out your site joRD

You got yourself in a terrible freeroll  The site I'm on would have paid you 5-8$ for that :D (3,000 people though but this is still a lot more money.)

I've got about $7 in my E-gold account.
Does anyone know of a poker site that takes and pays out small amounts of E-gold?

It is just the tedium mate of knowing that to get in the money takes about 3 hours.

I usually hardball it in the first half hour and crash and burn :D

Just got my BetFred up from 2 pence to 57 pence by coming 19th in a 1,000 man freerole and winning 2 x 5 pence six man tables.

It's a long ass way to go lol.

Tourneys are a marathon, not a race. I qualified for $250.000 tourney on the Mansion and i got in the money after 5 hours... Did not win unfortunately though :) Today iv won $2000 guaranteed and came second on $500 one as well. Took me around 4 hours all together.

Not at all... There is a luck factor but with poker good players will always end up on top overall. Why do the same players keep on winning WSOP 8 times in the raw?

A lot of the big poker sites often scout some of their best players and enter them into the tournament free of cost, the player just has to endorse their site and wear a shirt with their logo.

    www.partypoker.com should be one.

    The big ones are:
partypoker, pokerstars and fulltilt... actually, the biggest start created from events like this was Chris MoneyMaker from Pokerstars ;)
