    Hi

I run a poker rakeback site. On that site I give people the opportunity to refer people in return for receiving a percentage of that person's rakeback forever.
This is a great way for people to earn cash whether they play poker or not. I know people would be interested in this but I'm wondering what would be the best way to market it.
Please visit my site by clicking on sig link to see how it works, any advice would be appreciated:)

I'll tell you from firsthand experience in that niche, that without a solid budget, and a good amount of time, you're not going to be cracking the top 10 anytime soon. Getting conversions for them is... harder again.

I don't understand the concept. If you refer a real money player, why would you only want the rakeback, when you can get a percentage of their deposits for life as an affiliate? I know which option I'd rather have

There is no such thing as getting a percentage of their deposits each month. As a normal affiliate you would get a sign up fee say $50 when that player signs up and reaches a set amount. With this you will get a pecentage of rakeback every month for as long as that person plays. which if he/she plays for a long time could go into the thousands.

The difference is getting 1 amount once or something every month.

Of course. Most people don't realize it's that easy to become an affiliate, which is why sites that offer gifts when signing up through them worked so while (for a while).

The poker affiliate programs I have looked at, they have offered 2 options. Get a fixed amount for referring a real money customer, or get a percentage of their deposits for life.

Rakeback is what the players want to signup for (especially the grinders). But usually they are only available to them if they don't signup under an affiliate.

Well I can't comment on what you have seen but with this players do get rakeback and anyone who refers players to my site will get a percentage. As you have said, players are aware of rakeback these days and anyone with half a brain would not sign up to a poker site through an affiliate unless they could get it.

This has gone a little off topic here. What I really wanted was advice on how to market the 'refer a friend' option I have available.
    Any thoughts?

Rakeback sites now must use creative marketing, serps aren't really there and are extremely competitive.

Think of it like social networking, you need to find a couple decent players who rake more than $500 a month regularly, then service the hell out of them. Become the person that solves their problems when playing for real money online, these are the players that will send you a couple more and over time your business will grow.

Nobody will be the next RakeTheRake in this day and age, but there is plenty of money to be made in people who think outside the box and build a personal brand.

Good luck, PM Me if you need any help.
