Poisonous & Deadly Mushrooms in my yard

Well, this morning when my boyfriend went outside, he saw two mushrooms that weren't there yesterday and one of them was huge. We get them every year. Not a lot of them, maybe three or four. I was interested in seeing ehat they were so I used the search feature on this site: http://www.rogersmushrooms.com/gallery/chooser.asp

I didn't find exactly which kind of mushroom one was, but out of the search results one they were all poisonous. The other mushroom that we have (the larger of the two) is actually deadly and we were able to identify that one.

It's kind of weird to have two different types of mushrooms near to each other but it was interesting playing around with it finding out which kind it was.

What kind of mushrooms grow near you?

I picked 'em and threw them into the woods so the dogs wouldn't eat them. I have miniature pinschers and if you've ever known one, they eat anything and everything including acorns, rocks, wood chips....

That's really scary, I have a phobia when it comes to mushrooms.
I don't even eat any kind of mushrooms. Once I ordered a sandwitch and it had mushrooms in it.. I throw it in the trash directly. My friends thought I was crazy. lol :D
