Pointing godaddy's "A" name to new ip?

    I want to point godaddy's domain "A" name to some other IP,

    can anyone tell how to do so.

    To change an A record in DNS you should first familiarize yourself with the different DNS records. Other than that, just replace the ip address that the A record points to with the ip address that you want.

    This might take a couple hours to work so it will take the site down if you do not just add the new A record and remove the old A record after the new one starts working.

    There is a quick add feature now in Godaddy. However, so that there wouldn't be any future problems. Minimize 'A' to only 1 except to prevent conflicts.
