Is it common to purchase a misspelling on a domain that you may have and to point it to the main one? both being .coms and say for example a domain with pp where some people may accidently miss a p when typing it in.

if your domain receives tons of type in traffic then yes, but if not , it's just a waste of money.

Yes, if there's a high chance that people will mispell the name. That way you won't loose traffic & nobody will be able to register the typo.

gocubs19 and htmlindex thanks, i think it will be useful for at least one of my domains, i can see where people could innocently misspell easily.

    Thanks for your advice.
