I'm thinking of maybe trying to get other webmasters/freelancers to be contributors to my forum (among forums that my friends run). By contributors, I mean webmasters/freelancers that can post their How To's, Tutorials, Demo Webmaster Accounts (area to allow other webmasters to test out your project etc), Do's & Don'ts and Case Study (area to assist others with ideas, questions and suggestions on their latest work/website) things that they are familiar with. I know its a long shot but I'm very determined and have such a dedication to it. Remember when you first started to when you finally suceeded? Thats how I would like to feel, someday, sooner is always better. I'm just not so sure how to go about it and how to convince people to contribute...I know many are wanting some sort of payment, which is understandable but all I can offer (until income is coming in) is free adspace. I just want to have the forum to help webmasters/freelancers and those whom wish to learn and grow. Any ideas, suggestions, volunteers etc are welcome even if your post is negative. Negative feedback is better than none at all. Thanks.
Well if you want to engage experienced people to contribute quality contents to your forums, I would suggest you offer a partnership or maybe revenue sharing for it. If you decide to just pay and get the services for forum posters, there are just there for just short-term commitment. Screen through their qualifications and offer some good deals. Keyword: Revenue sharing.
Revenue sharing and partnerships seem to be a great idea. As far as forum posters, I agree with you there and thats why the only thing I've offered is adspace for it (even though it never gets many people) but I want members to be there over time and not 5 minutes.
