png compress

    Is there any tool to compress png images,

    I tried to search google but had no luck to find good one

    anyone would you recommend

    PNGCrush, PNGOut, OptiPNG, PNGQuant... First two are probably the best.
    But as PNG is really well compressed by default, don't expect any serious file size reduction.

    you could also convert it to jpeg.. that's another option

    It depends on the particular image. For a photo like one, converting to JPG could be a good idea, but with a line art image, this would result in terrible quality loss due to JPG's lossy compression algorithm.
