Yeah, I noticed some high spammers activiti on DP lately... I was spammed on: "Today, 9:51 am" by: "DNKing Peon Join Date: Sep 2007 Posts: 0 iTrader: (0)"
I got another PM from some spammer who sent me something and at the bottom it said, "This is not PM spam. LOL"
Making a rule with 25 post is ridiculous. I still get orders for my service from B/S/T forum through PM as they don't have enough required no. of post and all. Its really a rare case of some one spamming through PMs. Don't make a rule for sending PM. I got the PM from onlinehelp username. I am wondering why he sent you many and to me only one.
Yes it will but what about those who order from PMs? No one likes to loose money including me and you. Mods are smart enough to think of a better solution. If its the the last solution then only implement it. Regards, RoyalSeo
Order via PM? They can post in the sales thread and have the OP PM them. 25 posts isn't a lot to make.
It will certainly result in loss to me. I know 25 post are not big to make but 2 weeks waiting period is.
If they can wait the 2 weeks to post in the BST section, they can wait to PM. Besides, who really wants to do business with someone with less than 25 posts and who hasn't been here longer than 14 days? The majority of members, I'm sure.
agreed completely.. i dont like to deal with newbies like that and when they Pm me, i simply delete their posts
What do you mean? You sold a product and the newbie was interested? They can reply within your thread.
That rule will shoo of the my customer not yours. In the past month every 4 order out of 10 were of "newbie's". That means I made atleast 220 bucks out of them. Ask your self, would you give away money? Besides "onlinehelp" username is the only one who have PMed you in bulk. 1 or 2 PM are fine. You can report that username to MOD. I won't like to loose customer just because some members were lazy to report them- no offence. Please try to understand my point.
He's not the only one who PMs me in bulk. I got a few. He's the only one that was consistent about it. No spam is fine, ever. Of course not but I also wouldn't do business with members who had no reputation. With that being said, their money wouldn't be mine to "give away".
Remember they are paying you, you are not paying them. I am strongly against this rule. You can't stop them spamming. Spammers will be spammers.
On one forum I belong to, new members can't send a PM for two days after they join and they also need a few posts as well. That cuts down on new member spam PMs a lot.
