Hello I am recently licensed to become a doctor. i am an indian with a long name. First part (name) in x and second part (surname) in y. Please suggest which one is a good option for a personal website. I want to make my name a brand name in net too. I just do not want to blog about medicine and health only but about personality development, wordpress, etc so varied subjects are my concern. i am a doctor of modern medicine i.e with degress like MD. My other expectations from my site is my ebooks on varied subjects (both medical and non medical) that I may promote through my site. Johnchow.com is the inspiration for the first option that I have given. drmercola.com is the inspiration for 3rd option etc. so my qns is what might be the best, effective and future proof domain name for making my name as a brand name in internet?
I suggest you to use your 1st name/nick name and add Dr in front - Like DrJohn.com If your making it a brand.. make sure you make it big and nice - Your1stName.in ?
all the options are decent. but 4 is the best in my opinion.. Its a good step that you are not thinking about adsense. There are many other ways of monetizing ur website. What you can also offer apart from the normal blog is "web consultation". Sorta like a live chat. You can charge your clients for this. All the best for your career.
