hey... plz review my blog :http://exploreankit.wordpress.com It is tech related blog. Please provide some feedback on how I can improve the layout / design. Let me know what you think
Nice clean looking blog, the header was kind of slow loading, it took 5 secs longer to load than the rest of the page. Good design and nice colour scheme.
Clean design from well known popular template - Misty. Here is my suggestion - I see you are trying to reduce load time by use a bit low quality graphics. I suggest you should use better quality of some graphics you are using - Your header is nice but it doesn't make people aware about your blog topic enough. If your blog tend to related with tech then you should use header graphic which shown somehow related to tech. - Your right sidebar need some re-arrange. 1. Why your "Blog stats" and "Visitor Locations" don't stay close to each other? 2. You should move "Category" section to near the top, next to "search" if possible. Overall is ok.
@tigrrra thanks a lot @Sxperm thanks for the suggestion....implemented all of them....thanks a lot...
agree about header loading -10 secs after rest of page nice use of graphics and very well designed - good content
The images on your posts definitely show signs of bad compression especially the text ones. Maybe give up some file size and use less compression to make it more cleaner.
Nice, as far as blogs go (some conventions have to be upheld). However I don't like the choice to box everything single "button" image in a separate box. Too much dead space. Sorta feels like you're wrapping up every potato chip in a separate bag.
Very nice, clean, tight. The header image was still a tad slow in loading via the free cafe wifi I'm using, but not too long.
Your site looks ok but it doesn't really grab me on what its supposed to be about. 1. I would insert a navigation bar above or below the header with some pages such as About, explaining who you are and what the site is really about. 2. I would then insert other pages such as a contact page, privacy policy etc to make it look more professional. 3. It might be an idea to put a recent posts widget in the sidebar to split up your posts into say months or categories making it easier for people to navigate around the site. Lastly if this site is important to you, I would be more inclined to replace it with a self hosted WP site. These types of sites are ok for hobbies but providers have been known to delete accounts with no redress - so either keep it well backed up or move to your own host where you have more control. Hope this helps Pete
