Nice to hear that one of my domains worth $xxx to $x,xxx ! (can be $900 - $1,000 ? ) i just thought it was worth $100 max. You can market the name as is to .org with similiar interests or create blogging or forums. Strategy-1: Good Content(Concept)=Traffic=membership; more $$ on resell. Strategy-2: No Content: Document type in traffic if any, sell the name to an existing site. Email, letters, word of mouth, etc. Strategy 2 plus 3: Blind auction. Set a reasonable price low 1xx, maybe with a reserved and hope that there is more than one bidder.
Strategy one is great only if you have a great idea on how to market it, for example the best way to market it is charity organization, i mean i don't want to build a charity organization! the other way is something about Christmas related: forum or a shop, forum about people who post about Christmas? i mean why would people do that? what should they post? this is like adopting a way to a domain and not the opposite - name to a way. if i can't market the domain properly i should wait with it, can the price go higher over the years? what estimated reserve price can be for it? this domain is since November 2006...
