Plural and singular domains and google

I have a singular word in my domain name, is there any point having the same word in plural in the url to catch both and focus on strengthening that particular word ?

From what I have seen google can show results for plural searches to singular domain words.

Does that answer my own question ? :)

Can someone confirm this and what would you do ?

    Hi,

In my own experiences, Google would treat plural searches in the same way as their singular counterparts for keywords in domains but not for title tags. :)

    all the best,

Precisely. For domains, it can have a fair chance of showing up for not just singular or plural, but even for related topics. Apart from the domain, if the site content is relevant and covers all the niche-related issues, then the problem is solved. Domains can be a deciding factor in the rankings, but content of the site has to compliment it very well.
