For similar post, yet another related post is the best for wordpress blog. You can get more information on it and download here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/ it is one of Google approved. For thew other one, I have not come across such plugin and I will like to know if you finally get one. All the best.
There is one called SEO Smart Links but it does not work as well as I would have hoped. It links to the category pages mostly. The yet another post plugin pulls post from outside websites right? I just want my own posts pulled in....But thanks for the other suggestion!
I use Yet-Another-Related on my blog (in my signature). It works well. Make sure that you use tags in a very structured manner. I have specific tags which I tend to use over and over.
but does this plugin look for post on your site or on all wordpress sites? I am only interested in showing my own stuff!
