Is there any plugin to speed the loading time for my Wordpress blog? I have WP-cach which seemed to work great when I first installed it, now it doesn't look like it's doing anything. I don't have any plugins that aren't necessary and don't have too many ( I think) Also, this might sound like a silly question, is the speed of the loading time only affected by the plugins that are activated? cheers
I don't know of any plugins that would speed up wordpress. The plugins shouldn't affect speed. The speed is probably affect by a couple factors. 1. Your blog has gotten bigger which means the database file has gotten bigger which increases load times. 2. Depending on where you have your site hosted might affect your load times. If you have shared hosting then your speed would be affected by the load of the server by all the other users.
I have read recently that it's because of the amount of plugins you use My blog is not big and I don't use shared hosting.
