Looking for a plugin that displays a graph or compiled data (not individual) of the search terms and pages entered. Thanks
I use Piwik: http://piwik.org/ It's open source with APi's that allow you to do almost anything - including monitoring from WP sites
Saw the demo, but it doesn't seem to show what I need. Basically I want the search terms and the actually page so I can build anchor text backlinks. If i can just locate the page the Awstats keyword phrases would probaly do it. Thanks Just installed it, I'll let it run for a few days and see. Thanks
The best and most reliable option for your stats is the one your own web host provides. Then if wordpress blog, i use Statpress. Gooogle Analytics is amazing. For paid options i use KissMetrics. cheers Josh
Try Wassup plugin at http://wpwp.org which has real-time visitor tracking, displays possible hack attempts and comment spammers (via Akismet stats). It shows you referral information, search keywords, and path the visitor took through your site page-by-page.
Actually Wassup has all of what WP-Stats has and more. The OP wanted to see the keyterms from search and the page they landed on. WP-Stats does not show that. Wassup also lets you see who is online at the present moment, which will drive you bonkers watching it. Try tweeting a new post and watch all the bots come out of the woodwork.
"WordPress.com stats" is also is great tracker. This shows you the search term or keyword for what your visitors used to enter your blog. This plugin excludes your own visits.
I realize that. It does not have what the OP wanted though, which is to see the entry page from the actual search. WordPress.com stats only shows you the search. Wassup shows the search, what page they landed on, and the trail that they used while navigating your site all in one box. It also goes as far as telling you what page of the results they found the search on. Wassup has an option to discount your visits, as well as any member, author, editor visits if you wish. BTW, I forgot to mention that Wassup is free. I don't recommend too many plugins either. So take it from me, this one is worth getting and you can do away with WordPress stats (unless you are on the free WordPress hosted site, then you cannot install plugins to begin with)
I had the Wassup plugin already installed on one of my sites but wasn't aware it did report those features. I've reactivated it and will let it run for a couple of days. Thanks
They had an update about a month ago and the plugin seems more responsive, plus the UI looks a whole lot better and easier to read. For real-time stats, look in the upper right and you will see "Spy Visitors" link. No need to let it run for a couple of days, this is live stuff. Once on that screen, there are Stop/Play controls if you need to freeze the screen.
i use analytics, but for plugin i use "count per day" plugin, you can found it on wordpress sites for free
use web host provider stats and Wassup plugin you can see search engine keywords in real-time, search total clicks and various others categorize search and learn from it (what keywords get more traffic/clicks) latest visitors and so on
