    Hello Masters,

    I encountered this error..
    
    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
    
    
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /homepages/12/d309444863/htdocs/growcaliherb/wp-content/plugins/easy-privacy-policy/easy-privacy-policy.php on line 199
    Code (markup):
    ..while activating WP Plugins in 1and1 Hosting. Please help me find solution to this error..

    Found the exact same problem on the Wordpress Forums. Like it says, your host might be running PHP4 but that plugin needs PHP5.
    Apparently, there is no try/catch support in PHP4. You learn something new every day! :eek:

    I was not part of that Wordpress thread. You have three options:
    1. Edit the plugin code to remove the try-catch parts.
    2. Get your host to use PHP5.
    3. Use another plugin.
