    submitting to free or paid directories do no help in increasing the PR. do have some good content or something really nice to offer which attracts good number of visitors. when you get visitors, your PR will automatically increase/

    If you're more concerned about "Page Rank" you should try out different strategy for linkbuilding, directories submission is not just going to help you.

    Would have been better to submit contents of your websites to social booking sites.
