pls I need help in positioning menu and body in right positions

    I got a menu code from dynamicdrive.com and incorporated it into my css file but after these when loading the page,the menu seems to be high above while the body messages apear below it.its a left navigation menu.

    it is actually on the left and the body mesages on the right but it is high on top of the body message. pls how do i edit the css to put them side by side and not one on top and the other below

    Thanks actually.I jst found my way arround it. I gave d main page an absolute position initially and a left margin bt I seize to give the menu a position as well, but nw I gave the menu an absolute position as well n It is mw floating to d left as I want it
