I have faced a different kind of problem in my PC. actually i was using my system without UPS, normally in afternoon times in my residence occurs some times a fluctuation in power, so i avoid using my PC at that time, but yesterday, i have some work in PC so i am working in it at that time, and power fluctuation occurs to time when my PC running up, and after switching on my system, i have asked for password for system login. I have assigned only one Adminstrator user and no other user enabled, and i entered my password, but the system said wrong password, i entered the correct password many times and asked many of my friends but none got the answer and only one helped me saying about hiren boot cd, so that i can reset the password or atleast get the data back up which is locked in Administrator folder. So i have downloaded the hiren bootable cd from this link http://hiren.anthropomorpho.com/Hirens.BootCD.10.1.zip But i don't know how to create a bootable disk using the above file. Pls help me !!! my finished work files and other important files are in C drive, now finally i installed XP os in D drive of my system, to get access to internet. My system configuration; Processor: intel dual core e5300 mother board; asus i have two partitions C and D and each has XP os, the XP os in C is locked by password. I have tried all sort of things like connecting HD in parallel in another system, safe mode everything sucks....
No one is DP know about Hiren CD, I expected that i can resolve my problem here. Okay.... then i need to format my entire HD and am forced to lose all my important data..... I am going to format now.
you can reinstall windows without formating.it'll just replace the window files. i don't know if that program will fix your problem,but here's how to make a boot cd. you'll need: cd/dvd writer blank cd burning software that will burn as an iso instead of a file extract the iso from the zip file and burn it to cd. restart your computer and go into your bios and select CD Rom as the first bootable devise. after you save and restart it'll boot from the cd.
I agree with zodiac. Burn the ISO from the ZIP file to a blank CD and try to start Mini XP from CD. If that fails you can try to use safe mode (tap F8 during the boot and choose safe mode) as Administrator it should be without a password, and you can remove password on your profile and access it, or you can simply find desktop folder at C:\Documents and Settings\Your Username. If you have some trouble accessing it, right click on the folder that you cannot access click properties, find security tab find certain group or username click edit and check full control. Save it and you can access it hopefully. This worked for me one time on XP so I'm hoping that will work for you.

Actually i have tried all sort of things to get access to the locked files, but windows cleverly protected my files and i couldn't access without any special softwares. Then i have found why i couldn't prepare a Hiren boot cd, i have tried a burning tool which accompanied with the zip package, but it is not working that is the problem. But i found it very late after formatting my Entire HD, with little backup of s/w to a dvd disc. And i formatted HD and reinstalled win xp. Then after i install nero , then i can find that iso file is in package directly, but that burning tool accompanied with package doesn't show me it as iso file. Now i have done installation of basic s/w throughout night, i have to sleep after installing some more s/w. Thank you once again.
