I did a title search for PLR and nearly all results were for people selling PLR content. What I could not find was a discussion on what to use this PLR content for. Personally, I have done the PLR thing before and wasted expensive subscriptions with mixed results. I tried to create some Wordpress blogs with daily new added content consisting of unchanged articles. Surprisingly, a few of these blogs got some very good traffic. Perhaps I was first in there. Secondly, I tried to rewrite the articles. This was very time consuming and the revenue I got per article on the sites did not justify my spending this time. Thirdly, I created a couple of sites in Xsite Pro. They looked pretty good and I create some Adsense sites and tried to drive traffic via Adwords. To be honest, I did not spend much time perfecting these sites. Which leads to my final thoughts. PLR is supposed to be about saving time. I have found that creating original quality articles from scratch is quicker than rewriting PLR to a high degree. So what is the point of PLR? Is it a big waste of time? Does anyone here have any good experiences they can share of using PLR in an automated setup? Surely this is the jewel in the Nile of PLR. Throw the articles into the engine and out pops an automated mixed up/rewritten regular blog/site that earns nice passive income. Build, publish, build, publish to infinity. Would love to hear your thoughts.
I personally do not have much trouble rewriting PLR articles and using them for my own purposes. I usually do this when I an unable to create my own articles. What I usually do is research a certain keyword in the niche the PLR article is in, then rewrite the article with that keyword in mind. If you find that creating original articles is more efficient than rewriting PLR, then by all means create original articles. I think I am able to use PLR content effectively, but not everyone can of course.
I managed to grab about 10,000 PLR articles a while back. I browsed through them all and found some small niches. Bought 5 domains, and found a very Adsense optimized and SEO friendly WordPress theme and created 5 blogs. I post one of the PLR articles on each blog once a week. They have been up for about 2 months and make me about $4 a day.
Personally I feel it's a waste. Plus, I've also found that writing your own article is easier than changing someone else's (although a lot of people disagree with us on that point.) I did a little of what abstroose did, although I didn't have much success. Not that I put much effort into it. But that's what I'd do if I did anything else with PLR stuff. Just don't sell it.
