I have opened a plimus account and I want to know how to use it to sell my services. The problem i have is how to submit prices that I will be charging for my services as they are variable.

I am interested to find out how DP members do this.

I sell software via Plimus. I supposed if you want to sell services which has different prices then you will need to generate different contracts for each of your customer. If you do not want then for the contract, you can enable the 'Allow Override Price' and then add '&overrideprice=XX.XX' to your order link to make the price changes. However, it may not be secure as your customer can change the price.

Wow, I didn't know that! I don't think most of my clients will either know that or do that to me, or will they? I suppose I'll have to take my chances with it though.

Thanks for the info Eddy, you're a genius.

Well what you can do is to set to manual review all transactions and then if someone shortchange you, you can just reject the order and get him to send the right payment.

Personally, I just set a Contract for each customer in which they cannot change the pricing.

I have just completed a sale via Plimus, they call the buyer to authenticate the sale - in some cases were you know the buyer it does cause confusion - I set it to manual review all transaction would future buyers still be contacted by Plimus?

Not under normal circumstances. However if there is something fishy about the transactions, they may require the customers to call them to verify the order.

...it's also worth noting that for the first few transactions, Plimus may do a manual review for your account, just to be sure all is going well. This will stop pretty quickly, but allows us to be sure that all our vendors are having a positive experience, and that they don't get targeted for fraud :)

If you have any additional questions you'd like sorted out in terms of setting up your account, please feel free to PM me at simonj@plimus.com :)
