I was going to use the Digital Point search tool on my website, as described here:
    http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/search/

It tells me to go get a Google API, but when you click the link, you are faced with an array of about 16 different types of Google APIs to choose from. I can't find one that talks about XML. Can anyone please tell me
    a) if this search tool from Digital Point still works?
    b) if so, what kind of Google API do I want?

From what I read I looks as if you need the SOAP/XML API. Unfortunately this tool is no longer available from Google. You may be able to beg/borrow/buy an API key from someone who is not using one they obtained previously.
