Plesk subdomain behavior

By default, plesk creates subdomains in subdomains/subdomainname.

I want the subdomain to use httpdocs/subdomainname

I'm running coppermine gallery bridge with phpbb, so using subdomains/subdomainname is out of the question...

I have tried for like last 5 hours to find a solution...

I looked at subdomain.sh and tried to run that to create the subdomain in httpdocs which did not work (wouldnt let me run subdomain.sh outsides of Plesk)

I tried half-ly to create a symlink from subdomain/subdomainname to httpdocs/subdomain but I believe I'm misunderstanding the concept

I tried looking into creating a vhosts.conf file but am at a loss as to how to do it and I hear Plesk will overwrite those files.

This is on a mediatemple VPS.

Can anyone provide a probable solution?

Anyone know how to change the default plesk subdomain structure so that when they are created they are created in httpdocs? I hear this is possible, but have yet to see an explanation of doing so...

    I have shell access btw

Believe me, plesk is the worst paid panel to pay for that comes with bugs and very easy to break.

Ya it never really bothered me before until my own site was on plesk. A lot of my clients sites have been dedicated/VPS's with plesk but they weren't running anything too hardcore and there was little php

I would kill for cpanel right now
