Haven't spent a lot of time with Plesk.

I usually backup my databases using phpmyadmin. If you have that I can help you.

Yes I have phpmyadmin, You export the database right?

I wondered if plesk had one, they would probably backup it up properly.

phpmyadmin does a fine job as long as you select the correct format and check the proper boxes.

I am using cPanel 11 on one of my accounts. I will look and see if there is another DB backup option that I have never used.

If Plesk has one I suspect it would be hidden under Databases or DB tools. It has been a long time since I used plesk.

Edit: yes you just export it. You can write it to your local hard drive zipped or unzipped.
