Can someone please suggest a good dedicated server hosting provider? I am leaning towards “codero” because of their 50% off of 1 year service.

Does anyone have any good/bad experience with them?

I am running a database intensive application and my requirements are

    2 x Xeon 3.0
    4GB Ram
    100 GB Hard Drive
    100 Mbps Uplink Port Speed
    Good Network Backbone

    New or old Xeon's?
How much bandwidth do you use?

Depending on how much you use, i can highly recommend Softlayer, Wholesale Internet or FDCServers.

around 100-150 GB a month. The ones i saw at codero are old xeons, they are 800Mhz with 1MB L2 cache.

A google search reveals that codero are related to aplus.net, who don't have good reviews on Hostsearch.

You'll be fine on that server though i guess. You aren't used that much bandwidth.

If you're looking for a reliable dedicated server, don't look for the cheapest one. 50% off? How will they pay for it? It's impossible. I recommend SoftLayer, HostDime or Layeredtech.

Yes I agree. If someone offers you something almost for free then it may be a trick.) Always check *specs of an offer.
