Actually it is a video in SWF format. And there is no way to control it.

 

• Don't post video that auto-plays.
• Too much "visual spam" on the site, just because a blog doesn't mean it needs to be covered in buttons.
• Everything under your "Subscribe" heading is cluttered, remove unneeded buttons and reduce the size of your RSS icon.
• The two buttons under "Sponsors" don't line up and look out of place.
• Snapshots is annoying, don't use it if you can help it/don't rely on it for income.
• The heading under "Top Post" appear to be nested, if this is the intent, I don't believe they need to be, remove the parent and have "The Meta" and "Promotion" be their own top level elements.
• Sort your "Promotion" links so that same-size buttons are lined up and non-standard buttons are either removed, replaced with standard size buttons or put in a new line.
• The background of the site is neither dark enough nor light enough to provide adequate contrast to your main content area.
• Your footer needs to be either a lighter color unless you change your background color. I know a lot of website do very faint footers, but yours is too fuzzy and too large to be effective like that. The over-use of icons is also distracting.
• Logos are usually expected in the top left of a web page, but if you would rather have the ads there I don't see a problem with it.
• "Recent Readers" looks out of place, it should either be textual, larger (to extend the entire sidebar) or smaller.

Whilst writing this I really enjoyed how infuriatingly annoying that auto-playing repeating video made viewing your site. It was nearly intolerable and had I not already started writing this I would have surely closed your site and never visited again.

 

Nothing new sir, try something new design

 

You could use a new design and add some logo.

I will definitely implement some of your points but not all.
The viodeo is a swf file so thr is no way to control the autoplay feature.

 

it looks nice, but i would add a top banner that goes all the way across.

I believ Johnxstone hit all the points. I have a similiar site www{dot)techalot{dot}com/ that focuses on technology so I can relate to all of his comments. I have been there.....

 

Hi,
You have a nice set up on your blog but I would try and maybe add a header image with a slogan in it. This will give it a little more color. As for the rest, it looks fine to me.
