Not Winning About Infractions​

If you want to give out infractions for Plagiarism / Copyright Infringement at least you guys should update your forum rules.
I have learned by heart your current forum rules and it isn't anywhere there.
I got a two point infraction which expires in six months for doing something which isn't even in the forum rules.

You mean these rules?

Warez / Illegal Content & Services - Don't offer to sell or trade anything that is copyrighted, stolen, or illegal. Do not look for or offer services related to illegal things (hacking services, warez hosting, etc.) Common sense.

 

After reading this line I understand if I sell copyrighted content and/or provide illegal services etc I will get busted.

It doesn't say that I am not allowed to share jokes which I receive in email here.

I received a joke in email and I really liked it so I shared it here in General Chat.

I thought other people will also like it and you wrote there somewhere

 

The forum rules are not all-inclusive, and we apply a common sense approach to circumstances where the rules are not exhaustive, and moderators have final say as to what is appropriate, and what is not, regardless of the rules.

 

Please excuse my stupid question as I am new here,

But isn't this the wrong section/subforum for the discussion of administrative issues? Shouldn't it be moved to the respective, more suitable subforum, so that others who have a similar problem find it there, like an FAQ? For instance, if I was looking if a question like this has already been answered (to avoid bloating the board with the same stuff again and again), I wouldn't look in here.

Just my humble two cents, please forgive me if it was a stupid idea.
