I've hosted a proxy before and all I can say is do everything to get visitors. The more visitors you have, the more money you are going to make. It's that easy.

I believe its more solid to get more links back to your site. Theres free directories out there to boost link in to your site to boost your site. Getting visitors this way is more genuine.
