I want to place my site here! But do not know what hosting choose?
What do you think about this hosting?

"Fast and Reliable Free Web Hosting.
No Ads! We take only 404 traffic.
    100 MB Space
    Unlimited bandwith
    FTP account available
    No Monthly Fees EVER
    No Setup Charges!"

Please tell me it's good free hosting?

I would never host a site you want to earn money with on free hosting. That's just an oxymoron in itself.
Webhosting costs so little nowadays that you shouldn't have a problem to pay for it.

They say they're taking the 404 traffic. They don't say where they're going to redirect it to. Maybe they'll use porn sites as sponsors?
Then you might lose your visitors.
Like I said, I would never use free hosting for a site I want to earn money with.

For html sities I would recomment atspace.com - unlimited bandwith. If you would like use PHP/MySql you will not find a good hosting without ads or will have problems with activating account (for example - using their forum and clicking on andsense ads :) - (trap17 hosting).

I agree about the 404 thing... and it looks like they are porn ads :p the TOS says "You must be 18 years of age, and must be legal in your place of origin to view or own adult content. "

Does anyone know of a free host that offers MySQL databases? It's for an experiment I'd like to try so I'm not too bothered about ads or 404 redirections. Does anyone know anywhere that may be able to help?

so you get free hosting for simply posting in the forum? Sounds like a good deal to me. . .

I personally went with the budget hosting route. Actually, after a month I had received enough affiliate commissions from the host to cover my 3 year of hosting. That might be another option. Otherwise, jump on the dreamhost promo while its still hot. . . gives ya a year and a domain for about $10. Sure they are overselling, but you will probably get support from them then from a free host.

Yup, just for forum posting. We do this so they are exposed to the advertisers, and thats how we make money :)

I think it a bad idea to use the free hosting. Especially the web hosting is very cheap now.
