Hey, I'm not much for blogging but I want to dip into it. So I'm creating a new blog This blog is being made to pre launch my book being published in Novemeber December. The book is a story of how a man went from $200 to an Internet Empire, its a good read, but also informational. My goals are to build a nice subscirber base via the blog and then get things pushing when the book is complete. I have a large list to get traffic to the blog so I'm not worried about, I'm wondering if this is an interesting way to get people into the book before purchasing, and the idea of the book. What do ya think? www.internetpursuit.com
Hey Steve, I think the idea is good and solid. Knowing you, you should do well with this set up. Hoever, as mentioned above, that theme is way too plain. You'd probably do better with something like the Nigarila theme. It has a certain presence to it. Umm it costs 15 bucks too, but well worth it. You can go to my blog to look at the theme itself if that will help. www.marysheadlines.com Btw, you can adjust it to 2 columns or 3. I like the 3 because I can put more up and separate stuff better. Oh, good luck with your book and blog. Mary
Nice blog. I like the post, it creates a desire to read your book, based on a desire to be like the person in it. If your book is as good as this post I think you will do well.
Hey, Thanks for the comments... I will look into a change in the header. The posts are of the same quality as the book.
yup good idea but you have to com up with nice site that is professionally designed so visitors will get attracted.
I also read the blog and would be interested in the book so yes, it's just the job! The hard bit will be driving the traffic to the site, as always. Wilsy.
I agree that a blog would be the perfect place to promote your book. Here's what I would do. 1) Sign up to www.feedburner.com so you can track your RSS subscribers 2) Offer a few pages of your book, for those that sign up to your RSS feed. 3) Promote the blog on forums and sites within your books niche 4) Put a link on your blog when your book is for sale 5) Get people to interview you and promote your book on their blog [everyone wants fresh unique content] 6) Submit your blog to blog directories Hope this helps
