    Wide banner in the top middle or 2 squares in the top middle. And Text based ads in the sidebar.
    It would be better if you placed them above fold.

    A 336x280 large rectangle between post title/post image will likely do a lot better than the two units you've got currently. Every site is different though, so make sure to test! (and make notes of every change).

    I too thought to ad a unit there but adsense code not working there as blogger is css based or I think I am not that good in coding.
