Hello, currently im working on a modification of the sphider search engine. The whole idea is to turn sphider into a mp3 search engine like skreemr for example. There was allready a mod available to make sphider search engine a mp3 search engine but it was very poor and unstable. I took this mod and changed it completely to my own unique one. I gave it a new design and added a lot of functions like playlist function, the similar artists api and lyrics search. Also i made different modifications on the spider itself so it´s able to crawl sites that couldn´t be crawled before, this is handy for links and folders with special characters as well for links that are not direct links. The backup structure is completely different. Now it´s possible to backup and restore even huge sql databases. Before my 90mb database couldn´t even be restored by bigdump. I also added a rating system but decided to remove it since the overall performance was decreased too much. Please note that the site isn´t finished, im working on a main page where you can search for mp3´s, similar artists and lyrics directly.
