First thing I would definitely do is integrate a SEF component like OpenSEF. Install it like a regular component and then edit your htacess file where it says so you can get more meaningful urls.

Ahhh, interesting you should say that - as I have the openSEF installed and edited my htaccess file.

Previous to this the URL's were very messy and long /option,component,view,blah,blah,blah,43 etc

and now they are tidier and incorporate the page name into the URL.

I did experiment with creating manual names for each URL, however somehow I manage to cause nothing but 404 errors on every page. And I feared Google would scrap all the pages it has busily indexed, so I just left the SEF component until I understand its function a little more.

How much of a weighting does the URL have on SE positioning? Are the URL's on my site currently no use at all?

The words in the URL weight more than the words in the page itself sometimes.

Enter page is really wierd, not inviting and simple to enter at all, other than that it looks like a good developing website with plenty of fun :p!

I am redesigning the home page as we speak - it is an old page in transition. I agree entirely on that one. How did you find the new section at http://www.hornydate.co.uk/mainsite/

    Cheers

Looks ok to me although the freesite page (http://www.hornydate.co.uk/mainsite/) didn't load at the first attempt...?

I'm selling our UK based adult dating site. It has over 15k registered users and gets anywhere between 500 and 1000 unique users per day despite us not touching the site for over a year.

PM me for details - this isn't a $250 BIN job so I don't want to start giving details out left, right and centre. Those that are serious will go to the trouble of PM'ing me I guess.

I'm trying to get my posts up to 10 so I can post it for sale so this post services two purposes!

    cheers
