1000-1500 visitors per day you wont need a vps. I have a blog which gets around 3000 visits a day and i host it on a shared host fine. Well the shared host is my server, but its the same thing.

I don't think you'll need a vps yet, but if you go for one, hostmist has great deals on them & theyre support is fantastic

When you go for some cheap, they will also return cheap service! For VPS GoDaddy will be best choice.

Dont go for just any random VPS company. Go for a quality one. HostGator VPS start at $19.96 but that package is quite limited on resources.

BTW why do you need VPS. Do you need root access for some reason. If not why dont you go for reseller hosting instead. 5 such websites would easily fit into a low reseller hosting package from a reputed company.

If you ask reliable for you, try to think what's best for your budget. If cheap but you have enough money than take it, but if expensive but you over budget just find best for you.

Are you from India? If yes, try Indian HostGator. They accept most debit/credit/cash cards and payments via Internet Banking.

I second this recommendation if you are looking for hosting in India and your traffic is mainly within India. HostGator India is the best hosting available in India and great if your target traffic is from India. But if your target traffic is not from India but from US or Europe instead then HostGator India would not make much sense as page loading time for them would be slow.

BTW nihangshah have you purchased at HostGator India. I am planning to purchase a reseller account there though not sure as I am moving away from Indian traffic and trying to stop targeting the local Indian market due to obvious reasons. But I would like to test a few websites to see if they are also as fast as the main website itself. HostGator India websites loads up almost instantly for me which is but logical but I want to see how does actual customer site perform. Do you have any site there. If so please post here or PM me so that I can check the load speed.

One thing to keep in mind is you get what you pay for.
Of course you can find offers cheaper then $17 for those specs, however would you rather have better specs? or better uptime/speed/quality?

The more expensive a plan is, means that you should receive better quality.
The less expensive a plan is, usually means that the provider oversells their servers which will lead to poor performance.

I personally don't think you need a vps. But if you do, my favourite host is Arvixe. Try them, although their plans are $40 a month.

You definitely don't want to base your selection strictly on price. You don't need a VPS, a good reseller account would probably work best.
