    you should place your google ad on top of your home page and It should be graphical banner ad for more clicking.

    Do not place too much above the fold, G looks at this. From my experience the very top right never even gets looked at. Even with bright full color banner.

    try to put 300x300 ads on the top right of the page and also a leaderboard on the top 700x90 or maybe lesser size that fits on your first column. :)
