Site: http://www.worldwide-gaming.com I would like people to suggest improvements for the site. No better place than the DP design section! One thing I am looking at trying to do is decrease the bounce rate and try to get people into the inner pages but I am unsure as to where to start.
When you say disorganized am I right to assume that you're talking about the middle content with all the info on our products, front page? I appreciate the input. +rep
Just looking at the front page, there's a lot of unused space on the right of the page. The view your order link is too far over to the right (it actually falls off the side of my page and I have to scroll along) which I personally don't like. I think the "choose your language" part is dominating the page visually. I agree with Tofudge, it does look very busy, I think the maps contribute to this. Maybe you should consider getting your logo re-created, it looks quite blurry. Have you considered using a dark background rather than pale grey?
I think the design is very outdated. It reminds me of websites I looked at in the late nineties. I would incorporate some more modern design elements and bolder colors. I could come up with a dozen designs for the topic. You need to recharge your creative batteries and come up with something more striking.
I think that you need to use color to direct the viewers eye where you want it to go. There is a lot of black and white and a lot of text. Try to trim down the amount of links on the left hand side - it is a little daunting to see so many options... or make the main links drop-down menus. That way you can still have all the options, but not see all of them - it will cut down on clutter. The photos in the center don't bug me as that is what you are selling. I like that you have the main areas highlighted in the center area (machines, seats, parts, cabinets, etc.) Maybe instead of having all of them pictured, you pic one style or visual representation of the category - this will cut down on clutter too. Make that photo a link to delve deeper into the category - that is where you can show everything that is offered. Hope my comments have helped. Reese
