Hi there. I'm in "hybrid train niche" and I've researched these keywords by searching with quotes in google, the first number behind represents index for that particular keyword, and the second number represents the total search per month. "hybrid train".................... 10,600 indexed................. 1,000 searches/month "hybrid transportation"........ 6,280 indexed.................. 390 searches/month "hybrid trains"................... 2,900 indexed ................. 260 searches/month "electric hybrid train".......... 358 indexed ................... 46 searches/month For some reason, I found out that "hybrid train" is the converting keyword which has good traffic low competition and I want to rank high for this keyword. My link building model is simple as put articles on ezine, link back to my review pages, then send to hops. From your opinion, what should be a good strategy to follow here? a) Use target keyword in both article title and link title. Write many articles that has a title of "Hybrid train", for an example "Hybrid train, what is it and where to buy it?", put it in ezine, and put my link back to site in biography with keyword "hybrid train". This way will gauruntee that both link title and content relevancy are boosted to maximum, but ezine's article will appear in search ranking for keyword "hybrid train", and possible higher than my site's rank. b) Use relevance keywords in article title, and use target keyword in link title Write many articles that has a title of "Hybrid transportation", for an example "The benefits of hybrid transportation", put it in ezine, and put my link back to site in biography with keyword "hybrid train". This way will gauruntee that ezine will not come up to compete my site for keyword "hybrid train" but the content relevancy will drop from chice A). c) Other? (Please specify)
I'd use a). Write about 5/6 articles for every keyword. Why would you mind your article ending up higher than your site? If it's well written and the readers are sold they'll go to your site, however indirectly and most likely continue to your sales page.
some articles may and will outrank your site, but they tend to lose rankings after a week or two. but with every new article you will be getting more backlinks to your page, so it will be climbing up in google until you're at the top, which is quite easy with the stats you mention in your post. i'd go with a). you will most likely be able to have some of your articles on the first page and get some decent traffic, before your own page even gets indexed. btw, by posting these keywords and stats openly you have probably just got yourself a few competitors lol
Hey thanks for comments guys. After I post this, I sit back and relax and find out that b) is better when using with more competitive keywords. Ezine's PR would send the article to the very first page easily. The stats above is open for the competitor of course. Commission from selling few hybrid train will pay your bill for years!
I for one and am looking at buying a hybrid train to get from my driveway to my doorway. Seems very economical for the average home owner....
