Please suggest me a content slideshow plugin

Hi,

I need a content slideshow plugin that I can place anywhere. I dont want to create slideshow based on posts, but I need to add text (or) html code of my choice to the sliders.

Please suggest me a plugin or script.

If you don't want the slider to pull images/text from posts you're probably looking at using something like jQuery Cycle and either hardcoding it into the template, or having a developer add the options to your theme.

Alternatively you can use a generic slideshow plugin that *does* take images etc from posts, and just use a specific category as your "slider" category. Then edit your theme slightly to exclude that category from your posts page. If you can find a plugin that works with pages, even better, since you can just not add those pages into any of your menus and people won't find them.

 

Meteor slides plugin is ok if you just want it on one page.

Super Slider is good.

 

I've has SS plugins cause other features to WP site to stop working. Be careful with Meteor.
