Hello . I have a question , what is your USP ? At first glance the site looks nice but the moment you click on any of the links there are tons of ads .. that is a huge turn off . There aren't any quality content oriented Indian sites .. but again even with pop up ads , floating ads etc. pinkvilla was able to pull it off only because of unique content - all bollywood masala and photographs.
PR doesnt really matter, but its about a relevant site thats towards what your doing, and what the people are most likely to carry on that anchor text. Someone mentioned this earlier, but theres a video on seomoz about this as well.

Why bother when others will do it for you. Great content is the only way to do this properly. The problem is that most people want to build websites with awful content, and then try to game the system with backlinks that they get from dubious places. Just concentrate on the content, and the rest will fall in place. But having said that, PR isn't something you should be focusing on. Many website make stacks of money with PR0 or PR1 sites.
