Hello DPians, I got a domain name free when i played an online contest. I selected needbreak.com out of the 10 available. Can anyone of you suggest a nice niche for this domain.
At first I was thinking that needbreak.com could be a good website to go to play games, and do fun activities with other people, and other things that are involved with people when they take a break from "work" ... But you know, another thought popped into my head that. Breakbeats. I know of plenty of producers who are ALWAYS on the look out for breakbeat loops and "refills" (A term coming from the audio software "Reason" developed by a company called Propellerheads). Since the term breakbeat is... or at least can be... affiliated with the entire realm of drumming, it could later on be expanded to other forms of beats of different genres. You could offer free beats... exclusive beats... beats you have to pay for... Even start up a forum when you get enough attention to the website and many people using it. Just an idea!
Thanks Friends, Any More Suggestions. Personally i like FinalHuntMedia's Suggestions. But BreakBeats is also a good idea. Another question: Does the site niche depend on the domain because i was planning to start a local news and entertainment portal with needbreak.com
Actually the "entertainment" news area would work.... "I need a break from all of the bad news" so come here for all of the happenings in the entertainment world and find fun things to do with your much "needed break"... Obviously key words within a niche can be important for organic traffic.... but... If you market the site properly and put in the much needed time and effort to drive traffic to the site, then the organic traffic will follow via your content. Therefore your domain name only need to be memorable for return visitors. Good Luck!! Happy Holidays and best wishes for 2010 to all....!
Thanks again FinalHuntMedia. Now i know what type of site i have to create. Sorry for asking so many questions but which CMS would help me do so.
There are so many CMS's out there to play with that it pretty depends on your level of knowledge with installation, template design, etc... as well as what you plan to do with it. There are tons of Wordpress stuff, Joomla stuff, websitebaker, etc... etc... etc... Play around and see what works best for you... Best of luck to you!!
I have selected Wordpress from Wordpress.org as it is very excellent. Thank you all for the excellent Support.
