Please sponsor me to help the sick and disabled in Lourdes!

Hey guys, I volunteer and participate in an annual Liverpool Archdiocese Youth Pilgrimage to Lourdes in France; here I have a duty as a youth volunteer to care for the sick, the frail and elderly for a period of several days. I have been doing this now for four years and hopefully I will continue to take part for a long time to come. I embark to Lourdes this time every year on a 24 hour coach journey, and I am truly dedicated as a volunteer. The total cost of this is pilgrimage is £365 and this is raised through various methods, for example fund raising, car booty, anything basically.
I have managed to raise the majority of the cost; however I still have £115 to raise towards the youth pilgrimage and was wondering if you could help out.

Below is the sponsor form with information regarding the current fund raiding activity, details are provided for you if you require any information for authentication etc.

I would be hugely grateful for any small donation and I will update the form every time someone sponsors me here.

You can send your sponsor to and leave your name and contact details (I will not fill in your address or postcode for obvious reasons) so I can update the form here.

Thank you so much if you decide to sponsor me for further information regarding what I am doing visit http://www.animateyouth.org/lourdes.html.

I can appreciate what you're trying to do, but surely this belongs in the religion section?

Yes I suppose it could be in either section, although I am volunteering to help the sick, elderly and disabled in the local Lourdes Hospital (St Fria). Sorry if you think its in the wrong section :(

The religious "connotation" is never irrelevant. It is a pilgrimage after all. :p

Ok Kerosene, lets not debate what section it should be put into, its for a good cause after all. :p

It all depends on your definition of a "good cause" I guess.

Sorry - I can't keep my mouth shut. This is the exact reason I try and stay away from the Politics and Religion section!
    :D :p

Seriously, good luck with it all. Helping elderly people is hard to criticise, no matter what the motivation.

Thank you very much joygoround for your fantastic sponsor/donation. Details are listed above, you may need to refresh your browser.

For anyone who is thinking of giving towards this fund or who has already donated I will display images and details of the sponsored walk after the 10th of June. Also, after I have returned from Lourdes at the beginning of August I will post images and details so you can see how your donations have helped.
    Regards.
