I've been looking into offshore writing sites for both a gaming and technology blog. Has anyone had experience with this approach? Also, if anyone has references to offshore companies they have worked with I would appreciate it if you could share the experiences. The obvious concern is writing style, but other issues are reliability and professionalism. I am located in the US as well as my host servers. Thanks!
Some are very good! But most lack in quality and structure...Its not easy when you're first buyer... Moreover, the biggest risk in buying content is duplication...you never really know "where" the content is coming from and whether or not it has already been used!
I haven't had much luck with offshore writers. They usually end up doing a terrible job. It's best to hire native english speakers to write articles if they are to be in english.
Not really,i personally have hired a offshore writer not company to write for me. The grammar and writing skill is better than average. But the downside is they have fully booked schedule. And its not easy to get them to write for you.
Thanks for the feedback. I think based on the responses I will tread lightly into the offshoring world. My initial thoughts would be setting up a trial window and seeking references. The biggest problem looking for specialized writing content is paying quality money for a reliable copywriter when your blog doesn't make much ad revenue. Adsense is down and other ad networks are unreliable for my sites at this point so break even is unlikely. Thanks again!
Just a quick one. It depends on which offshore location you are referring to. Some locations such as South Asia have a problem writing concise English. However, you can get excellent copywriters a great bargain from regions such as South Africa, Kenya and India.
