I started this proxy site 3 week ago and I would like to get some opinions about its design and the script.

The site looks very “sad”. The dark gray and light turquoise combination is not the best. The layout is separated into several parts. The header section is not readable. The font selection for the logo should be reconsidered. Use could create two columns pacing those features into them, and then put the ads below creating the single consistent layout. It will look better think about element grouping, consider it more thoroughly.

May be if you change colors with lighter, and make font darker it will be better for users. Also you can put ads at one side, and main content in center fo the page - not at the bottom.

Edit: Actually - it is good site with nice idea wich i like.

    Very 90s website-type look.
You're in the new millenia - use and abuse the tools that are out there to give your site some colour.

The site looks kind of mixed up... have the colors of ads mixed up with your background and do some research in terms of design.. That would surely hep you

    Keep going

well, coming from someone who actually needs a proxy, i've been searching for a while but all others are blocked! thank you sir for rescuing me and providing me with your site which works and works well! irrelevant design aspects are simply irrelevant! it's extremely useful to people who need it :)

    excellent.

as i've just noticed, making great proxy sites are all about staying ahead of the game. as soon as u get found and blocked, you need a new one! how can you notify your users of ur new site without alerting the people who blocked the old one?

i'm very interested in supporting you and your proxies if you can come up with some way to tackle this prob

well, there is no way i can notice my users about my new site, unless I have a mailing list (which i dont). I just basicly advertise my site like i did with the old one..

what's the idea of the name behind hidemenot? if you're really hidden then why the 'not' ? :)

EDIT: the httproxy has now been blocked by my library *grrrr*

hidemenot is still ok, but i fear it may be blocked by monday

you're gonna have to come up with a more descrete name that doesn't draw attention to itself by network admins. let me know if you have any more new proxy sites!

My advice to you, is take out that HUGE adsense square chunk.

When people go to your website, the first thing they see is that? They'll X off.

Your building this website to MAKE MONEY (which most of the time is unsucessful), not to have website that is valiuable to people.

Take the proxy bar, and put it at the top under the "banner". Change it from "browse" to something like, "GO!".

Give a descriptive paragraph about what a proxy website is. (which you have for the most part), but put it under the proxy bar.. And really, align your text to the left.

Lots of comments towards it, But very good idea and intentions. Proxy websites are hard to do, but you look like you've got the idea down.

looks old, but you will get a lot of clicks on ads, but not many recurring visitors.

Oh yea, 95% of your traffic will be outside of the US :)
