Please give a quick glance at www.WiiTrio.com

The site is dedicated to reviewing Wii games and hardware etc...

I'm also wondering how to optimize it to:

    1. look more 'exciting' (?)
    2. get returning visitors (most UV come from social networking sites or google)
    3. increase revenue, but without having in your face adverts. I'm going on the basis of "i'd rather have no adverts, if my visitors think the site is purely for profit"

    Thanks for any help! :D

Your webpage has a white background color. You may change it to some colorful background webpage. The color should match with the over all blue color image.

I think u should close the logo shadow. ur logo is nice. as my look, it will be more attractive without the shadow.

Aammm.. I saw ur site its looks good but 2 things I've got
    1) On the top of the site where there links button (HOME, ABOUT, CONTACT, LINKS) are there, their color should be little dark which can match with other stuff.
    2) On the right side where ur advertisement BLOGOSPHERE (don't know what u call it) bottom of this Adv to end of the page its empty, it should be filed by something, not by every adds with data also!!

but one I saw Hidden Google adds as well, thats nice!!;)

I wouldn't change the background color, i think it works.

I'm not sure about removing the shadow on the logo either, I kinda like that too..

I realise BlogRush is not an advert, but a traffic swap, so I'd recommend keeping it, it's doing quite well for me so far, and John Reese does tend to know what he's doing... :)

I think you could add some adsense ads, e.g. a skyscraper add, in the sidebar without it being intrusive, but if you feel that's too much, then try the "links" ad option as it really doesn't look like an ad...

what about setting up a newsletter so you can let people know when a new post is added, send them tips and do some follow up promotions for related products, it's always a good way to monetize your visitors.

you can encourage people to sing up by giving away a free "top 10 tips" report.

Sorry for the late reply, but thanks for all the feedback people! A few questions though:

    anthonyn
As the site is Wii related, and the Wii colour is very ...white. So is it still best to change it? If so, what should it be?

    Raq
    1. Should the colour be darker blue? Maybe matching the post's heading colour?
    2. I know what you mean by the empty space, if ads shouldn't fill it, what would be good?

    m8ttg
    1. I would go for the skyscraper ads, but it would end up being so far down the sidebar it probably wouldn't be seen (only unless visitors scroll down the frontpage). If i add the link ads, where's the best place for these to go? As i'd prob go for the horizontal ones to be placed at the bottom of posts, but i already have adsense there. Is there anywhere else?

    2. I think i will add a newsletter, as before i was testing out feedburner subscriptions, but so far i dont think its worked for me

Once again, cheers for all the help
