I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you're late in the game. Directories don't take off. Think about it, if DMOZ (and some other prominent directories) didn't survive, no new / existing directory will. Spend your time and energy on something else.
I like the idea of a web directory it sounds like 118 118 for phone numbers in the UK. What I do have to say though is the logo is too small, the green doesn't go with the yellowish background behind the search boxes, it's best to keep the colours low. The "Top Categories" could do with a margin-top of 5px or more to space it better. Other than that well done
