Hey everyone, I just spend the last few days completely revamping (from scratch) a site that I bought a short while ago. Everything is custom made except for a few of the tools which came with the site... www.SiteToolCenter.com If you guys could quickly look over it and tell me if there's anything which you reckon should be done in terms of design and functionability. As it's meant to be a webmaster resource site it can't have stuff wrong with it - it'd be embarrassing! The site has been designed for firefox but still looks fine in IE. Oh which reminds me can anyone tell me how I can get rid of that small gap that seems to be appearing between my logo and main page + in the menu? Also a problem I noticed is the revenue sharing in the forum isn't working but I've started a thread on that to ask for help - although noone is replying! I'm planning to add AdSense content units on it in a few days time - makes it look messy but what can I do... Anyway thanks, Hodge
I like the idea of your website! Comments: - I would change the header to make it look more interesting.. It looks too "flat" at the moment - http://www.sitetoolcenter.com/website-tools-and-tutorials/meta-tag-generator.php see where you have the light grey font. Try changing it to blue instead so it's easier to read - Your sponsored links (adsense ads) on the left is blended very well!
Thanks for your review. Anyway how do you suggest I make the header better? Using image headers? Also I'll think about what you said about the grey font. I'll see if I can find a good color to change it to
A more web 2.0 style design: (good use of gradient(s) ) see my site (in sig) or www.good-tutorials.com It's a very popular style of design these days
Hey I had a go at what you suggested but it's not looking that good... I think it's my choice of color and design but hey. Please check it out - it's only changed on my homepage right now...
